Cadet Resources

Advancement

Advancement in the Sea Cadet Corps is earned through hard work, participation, training, and leadership. Cadets must complete required coursework, pass physical readiness tests, attend advanced training, and demonstrate the values of honor, courage, and commitment. Each rank builds greater skills, responsibility, and confidence.

Physical Readiness

Physical fitness is an important part of the Sea Cadet experience, building strength, endurance, confidence, and discipline. Cadets must maintain a current, passing Physical Readiness Test (PRT) to attend training, with some advanced trainings requiring higher standards.

Cadets must also maintain a current Swimming Qualification for water-based training. These requirements promote safety, readiness, and personal accountability.
